Update.. Preckwinkle fires back at Sun-Times and Sheriff Dart.... Vows to monitor Dart's future budget decisions.

Update. Preckwinkle fires back at Dart and his pals at the Sun-times. Preckwinkle says she has no authority to control how Dart allocates his budget and she vows to "work" with Dart to find meaningful savings in his budget. Translation... Queen Toni is pissed and is going to keep a watchful eye on all Dart's future budget moves..

Dart office contacted Sneed (Sun-times) using anonymous sources to level blame at Preckwinkle for the budget proposed layoffs. Source says Preckwinkle is furious.

Sun-times Editorial Board blames Preckwinkle for layoffs without even mentioning Sheriff Dart's reckless top heavy budget.

Sheriff Tom Dart threatens 925 layoffs after misappropriating millions..

Sun-Times Editorial Board..
If hundreds are thrown out of work, the blame is on Preckwinkle

It is unconscionable that Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle has threatened layoffs in 925 positions this summer if a judge does not allow a tax on sweet beverages to take effect by August. The tax was unpopular with the public and its legality is untested. It is not, as of yet, a reliable source of revenue, and it is unfair to tie the job security of hundreds of employees to its success. They deserve better.

The monthly dividend check to Tom Dart is in the mail. Sources says there is more relatives than just Mark Brown of times reporters on Dart's payroll..

In the interest of full disclosure, my wife recently took a job with Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart in a policy role. But I plan to keep writing about county government when appropriate. Mark Brown.. Sun-times.

  2. The irony is if Preckwinkle wanted too she could end Dart's political career tomorrow. Dart is playing with fire.

  3. Even if that Goat looking bitch gets her tax there won't be enough money going to the county. Anyone within 5 miles of the collar counties will be taking a ride for soda, groceries, gas and cigs. All that tax is going to do is hurt all the businesses near county lines. DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will and McHenry counties will be the winners. Shop smart people.

    1. I have been doing it for years now...I won't shop in the city/cook county for anything. No recreational events either in the city. I pretty much don't do anything but work in shitcago because I have to reside here. I take a straight ride west on Irving park to get to Dupage county. Prices way cheaper. Cigarettes are 5.75 a pack (camels). Be safe men and women in blue..

  4. Uh oh the sharks smell blood. Preckwinkle on berrios dart on Preckwinkle these people are angry and scared. They are hoping they can keep all the corruption and mismanagement under wraps until the 2018 election. This county, this sheriff is the most sued entity/ person and nobody in the media ask how much is this costing. The State's Attorneys office is using outside counsel in a lot of these cases and it ain't free. Periwinkle proclaims good government costs. We can only pray for good government. For her to think that we think this is good government she must think we live in her and dart's world of make believe. It's time to dig deep into the books and see what has happened to all the money. Corruption, corruption, corruption!!!

  5. Lets not kid ourselves..... This is what Dart and Preckwinkle wanted from the beginning. Thousands of less officers patrolling the streets and anarchy/marshal law. Tom Dart is without a doubt the most anti-law enforcement person to ever wear a badge. He would blow ever shithead and media personality in Chicago to become Mayor. Funny thing is he has zero chance of ever becoming Mayor.

  6. Tv Tommy thinks he's slick and can attack anyone using the media. Prickwinkle is one person he will regret doing it to. And believe me I'm no fan.

  7. The media recently ID'd Cara Smith as Executive Director of the DOC. Is psychologist "Dr. Tapia" no longer in charge of the jail?

    1. Extremely hard to defend the Teamsters when they fail to even respond when paying members are almost killed in inmate attacks. The officers are being subjected to daily unsafe working conditions and the Teamsters say nothing. Then as Dart's mouthpiece Smith is publically bashing the guards Local 700 cant even be reached for comment. I have emailed numerous reporters about jail attacks and have been told that the Teamsters wont even respond to media inquires. Why the guards put up with this is just insane!

    2. The teamsters know when members get pissed off enough that will have a vote and the teamsters will pull van up and give out free tee-shirts and pins. And the guards will vote them back in. Fuck those shithead turn keys who will sell out for a tee-shirt. They get what they deserve. Becky making 500k yr off the dummys at the jail. ROTFLMAO.

    11. A majority of coppers worked in the jail prior to getting on at CPD. Been there. Div 1 and 2. Used to be two officers on each floor in the dorms in div2. We handle big crowds on the street all the time and, the savages are armed with more than shanks...let's not make it a pissing contest. We're all on the same side. You'll make it to CPD one day.

  11. Makes you wonder if the Chicago Teamsters ordered local 700 to not publically criticize Dart. The Teamsters have been a Democratic controlled communist organization for years. They have to protect the communist politicians like Tommy and Toni. If a few guards are killed because of it, oh well. The machine and lavish salaries of local 700 was protected and that's what matters..

  12. Since the FOP took over courts they had some flaws at times. But they answer the phone and at least pretend they care.
