Drug sniffing-dog attacks officer at jail.

The Tom Dart clown show circus act continues!

Officer was attacked/injured by drug-sniffing K-9 dog today in division 9 today. While the officer was still recovering in the hospital the Sheriff's office blaming him for the attack. Cara Smith claims the officer was told not to enter the area where the dog was searching. Sounds like another CYA moment for a dysfunctional office looking to minimize the future litigation by blaming the officer..

    1. Regardless of who was right, why would the Sheriff make this public but then cover up all the attacks on guards by inmates. Why does Cara Smith and Tom Dart always trying to humiliate their own employees. They have a serious morale problem and this doesn't help. This is a story that should of never made the Tribune.

  5. Am I the only one that has the feeling the political tide is turning on Dart the fart. I have two brain dead relatives who are ultra liberal and love Tommy Fart Dart. I asked them the other day and they are saying they will never vote for an Cook County incumbent after the soda tax mess, including Dart the Fart. I was rather surprised but I think Dart the Fart may be in trouble which is a good thing. Unfortunately, he can probably still run for Sheriff unless someone with money takes him on.

  7. And the handler was a political hack, couldn't pass the power test and was still put in charge of a k9 which they couldn't handle
